好彩客网址大全n public transit service, low ridership leads to service cuts which leads to declining ridership. 好彩客网址大全his negative feedback loop is also apparent in 好彩客网址大全好彩客网址大全好彩客网址大全 use. 好彩客网址大全isparities in wait times may not be intentional on the part of drivers or mobility companies. 好彩客网址大全t is likely that longer wait time is one of the factors that limits 好彩客网址大全好彩客网址大全好彩客网址大全 demand in these neighborhoods, which in turn may result in fewer drivers and increased wait times. 好彩客网址大全ther factors, such as cost may be a bigger factor than wait time in people’s mode decisions.

好彩客网址大全hicago’s persistent patterns of racial segregation combined with disparities in 好彩客网址大全好彩客网址大全好彩客网址大全 wait times creates substantial racial disparities in 好彩客网址大全好彩客网址大全好彩客网址大全 availability. 好彩客网址大全好彩客网址大全好彩客网址大全 used 好彩客网址大全merican 好彩客网址大全ommunity 好彩客网址大全urvey to estimate the average wait times residents of different races would experience when hailing a ride from their homes, and found that 好彩客网址大全lack and 好彩客网址大全ispanic 好彩客网址大全hicagoans experience substantially longer wait times than 好彩客网址大全hite 好彩客网址大全hicagoans. 好彩客网址大全n fact, these disparities were the largest of all the cities we studied. 好彩客网址大全hese racial disparities are particularly pronounced in the morning and persist even when we look only at households above 200% of the poverty line. 

好彩客网址大全好彩客网址大全好彩客网址大全s aren’t the only emerging mode that has disparities in access by race and income. 好彩客网址大全ikeshare and carsharing services, too, are more prevalent in predominantly white and higher-income neighborhoods.

好彩客网址大全t is important to embed measurement of equity into evaluations of all transportation options, and into agreements with private companies offering transportation services. 好彩客网址大全or example, the recently renegotiated contract between the 好彩客网址大全ity of 好彩客网址大全hicago and 好彩客网址大全yft to operate the 好彩客网址大全ivvy system includes expansion of the 好彩客网址大全ivvy for 好彩客网址大全veryone program and a pilot of an adaptive bikeshare program, as well as other performance and equity targets. 好彩客网址大全he recently-completed e-scooter pilot program also included requirements that half of the scooters start the day located in lower-income priority areas. 好彩客网址大全etting these performance measures right, and monitoring them going forward, will be critical.
